Our Story
For our founder Mackenzie Thompson prom was one of the most unforgettable moments of her high school journey. With a deep love for all
things glitz and glam that night truly felt like a dream and for a night she felt like a princess. Being crowned Prom Queen was a
defining moment that stayed with her long after graduation. It was on that night that she made a promise to herself to
return to her alma mater and give back to the community that had shaped her. Her mission? To ensure every student feels the
same joy she experienced on prom night. However, she knew firsthand that for many families the cost of prom could be a major barrier
which often prevents students from attending or fully enjoying the prom experience. That’s why The Prom Promise was created,
to make prom accessible to students so they can attend prom stress-free and celebrate the night they deserve.

We believe that every student is able to define their future and make a positive impact on the world around them.
Our Mission
Prom is a celebration of confidence and belonging. For many high school seniors financial barriers stand in the way of this milestone.
That’s where we come in. The mission of The Prom Promise is to empower underserved high school students by providing them with full prom transformations, mentorship, and opportunities to engage in community service to develop leadership skills, confidence, and a sense of purpose.

Our Vision
We envision a world where every student regardless of background or circumstance feels valued and supported as they step into adulthood. We're building a future where no young person misses out on life’s milestones due to financial hardship. By transforming prom into an inclusive and empowering experience we aim to inspire a lasting sense of belonging in every student and community we serve.
